August 2016 Newsletter
A NOTE FROM SSS
Good Day.
We are two weeks away from the Atlanta Retreat in September. Remember that the registration deadline is tomorrow, September 1st so don’t miss your last opportunity to sign up today! Read below for some important news on the upcoming Retreats, and what our members have been up to lately.
Special Note on Upcoming Election: Understand that this is an intense Presidential, Senatorial and House Campaign, but, Grove rules are No Solicitations. What we can do is share opportunities to be a leader in different groups, such as entrepreneurs; but Grove does not want to be involved in fundraising. So – please no emails to Grovers or TARAs soliciting funds.
If you have any updates you would like to share for future newsletters, please email me or Erin LeBlanc (erin@belizeangrove.org).
Cheers,
Susan

Come experience one of Atlanta’s many gems, the Atlanta Botanical Garden! Enjoy a lunch at the new Café at Linton’s in the Garden where you can taste from several of Chef Linton Hopkins’ signature dishes. After a satisfying meal, head out for a meet and greet with Executive Director, Mary Pat Matheson who will speak briefly with you about what takes place behind the scenes. You will then enjoy a personal tour of the beautifully manicured grounds, the seasonal gardens, and my favorite, the orchid house! Your tour will end with a trip to the gift shop to mark your visit to the Gardens. The cost for the admission to the Gardens and tour per guest is $19.00. Everyone will be responsible for their own lunch. Lunch prices average $15-$20.
I hope you can join us in the Gardens.

NINA MCLEMORE
The Telegraph, a UK newspaper, wrote an article titled “Meet Nina McLemore, the designer behind Hillary Clinton’s rules of power dressing” by Bethan Holt. Click on the link here to read the article.
The Guardian also published an article, by Morwenna Ferrier, “How to Dress like a Politician (according to Hillary Clinton’s power suit designer).” Click on the link here to read the article.
And, just in case you missed it, The Washington Post fashion critic, Robin Givhan’s “Why Washington’s most powerful women are wearing this Jacket” reports on our collection and our philosophy about the importance of the visual impression for women! Click on the link here to enjoy the article and video on line, and share with friends.
As you know, Nina feels strongly about creating clothing for women, “So that when they walk into the room, they look like they belong in the room and at the head of the table.” We feel these articles showcase Nina’s sense of style in an appropriate fashion, by talking about her signature style – foldable cuffs and popped collars.
