The Belizean Grove

On Super Bowl Weekend, 2001, Susan Stautberg and Edie Weiner, and 25 other original members created the Belizean Grove, a global constellation of influential women who are building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships to both take charge of their own destinies and help others do the same.

Members are highly accomplished leaders in a wide venue of fields, are dedicated to giving back to their communities, have a sense of humor and excitement about life and are willing to mentor and share connections. With this vision in mind, members are invited not only for their professional accomplishments but also for their generosity and compatibility.

The Grove is an international nurturing network that helps women pursue more significant dreams, ambitions, purposes, transcendence, and spiritual fulfillment, while also opening up more leadership opportunities to these women of diverse backgrounds, talents, ages, and skills. The Grovers are leaders from 5 continents, from profit, non-profit and social sectors. They are heads of major federal and state government agencies, businesswomen, bankers, venture capitalists, investment bankers, military officers, academics, non-profit leaders, musicians, authors, diplomats, and design gurus.

The Grove provides connections personally, professionally, and globally. It provides a foundation and authenticity. Now more than ever, connecting with and support from a “Community of Trust” is important. Grovers share wisdom, spirit, joy, and courage.

TARA is a small group of diverse, prominent women leaders who not only have remarkable professional achievements, but who also embrace the joy of building relationships with other women for both personal and professional enrichment.TARAs embody the description of the great goddess TARA- an enlightened one, a female “Buddha” who has attained the highest wisdom, capability and compassion.

TARA members are leaders who are highly successful in a wide range of fields, are dedicated to giving back to their communities, have a sense of humor and excitement about life and are willing to mentor and share connections. TARA emphasizes the joy of building confidence in other women for both personal and professional enrichment. Many TARA members have young children, have started new businesses, taken on new challenges and roles and are combining family and career issues.

TARA was created in September 2004 as sister group of the Belizean Grove to focus on the next generation of global leaders. Today, the Grove and TARA members exchange knowledge, experiences and advice as friends, sisters and mentors. We come together at mini-conferences, informal social gatherings and we overlap our annual retreats to facilitate and grow the Grove / TARA sisterhood.
